In this service we take responsibility for the functioning of the equipment entrusted to our care. The emphasis is put on maximum security against unauthorized access from Internet or from the local network. We particularly care about the instant security updates of the system and the software installed.
We try to match to our clients’ expectations for each of our services. We provide many unique services dedicated to meet the specific needs of our customers, based on detailed analysis of their needs and possible ways to satisfy them.
We support servers running on different operating systems. We prefer Open Source systems, but our experience includes, of course, Windows systems as well as HP-UX or IRIX.
Monthly cost of operating the server is 300 PLN. This fee includes among others the following works:
- Updating on the fly, but not less frequently than once per working day, server’s operating system
- Log analysis and resolving potential problems after each update
- Maintaining compliance with the system clock with an accuracy of 1 second with the official time
- Monitoring, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, the vital parameters of the operating system (CPU load, memory utilisation, free disk storage, the integrity of critical system files, server’s and its applications’ TCP/IP accessibility, the load of network interfaces)
- Allowing remote administrative access to the operating system only to authorised persons
- Weekly restart of the server at a time agreed with the client and after-restart log analysis for ensuring the correct operation of the system
- Server’s hardware and software configuration consultancy
- Ensuring on-line telephone help-desk on weekdays, between 6am and 6pm CET
- Providing at other times than those listed above contact by e-mail and telephone contact in case of emergency
- Providing comprehensive information on customer’s servers operation
- Keeping accurate and complete documentation of server support and enabling client access to it on request
- Informing client of the need to change server configuration
All other tasks are paid at the rate of 45 PLN for each half an hour of work. If, after completing the task the functionality of the server changes permanently, then its maintenance includes new functionality without increasing the monthly administrative fee.
