Security of information systems is a complex matter. Sometimes – wrongly – it is equated with the threat of crackers. The purpose of the use of IT systems within the company is to help to keep business running and security should be seen as eliminating any threat to the fulfillment of this mission.
For many years our company has serviced strategic IT resources of large companies with Polish and foreign capital, operating in various business fields. Our extensive experience and observations allow us to perceive potential threats in the correct proportions, and to see them where others sometimes do not look. The audit should also evaluate – in addition to the risks – opportunities created by modern IT techniques, which could be used to assist in the conduct of business and improve company’s functioning.
Audits carried out by us perceive the IT system as a whole, without separating it from its functions within the company. Audit of IT resources includes, among others, checking procedures for the supervision of IT resources, analysis of the proper use of resources, analyzing information flow within organizations, suggestions concerning changes in information management, implementation of new systems or changes in the functioning of the systems used so far, analysis of the use of human resources involved in the maintenance of IT systems.
The results of the audit can be used to develop short- and long-term scenarios of actions aimed at increasing the efficiency of the company by optimizing the use of IT systems.
